A Dancer's Life?

[wooosh... there goes the weekend, and all i've done is dance. XD ... LOVE IT TO THE MAXIMUM! XD XD ... nehooz... just came up with a few thoughts about the whole dance thing in my life ^^ hui hui]

*Following the conversation at that time*
Hui: Yeah, and I dance, and dance again the next day... but I love it!
Nono: You have a dancer's life...

"A dancer's life". It sounds awesome. What does it really mean though?

Continuing to ask myself that question- I actually have no proper answer for it. My imagination of a dancer's life would be a lot more hectic, stressful and skillful than mine, where everyday no matter one likes it or not, would be bombarded with rehearsals, more rehearsals and performances. Professionalism. Passion. Commitment. Enjoyment. Entertainment.

Professionalism is definitely out of the question. Once-a-week-rehearsals with fairly few extra hours unless performances require, I'm far away from being professional. Passion? Definitely. Anyone would know about how big a part of my life and time is dedicated to dance, and how much I absolutely love it. This goes hand in hand with commitment and enjoyment, where it's a two way cycle- I'm committed to dance and I obtain enjoyment from it, but I also love committing to it first, as I absolutely love it. Then comes the smiles on the audiences' faces that adds the icing to the cake, the entertainment factor. It feels inexpressibly awesome to be able to share my passion with family, friends, relatives, strangers, acquaintances... to see how they are as entertained as I am during each performance.

A dancer's life... is it all just about professionalism, passion, commitment? The enjoyment and entertainment? These are my thoughts about it right now... I'm still not quite sure if that is the whole story. Maybe there is no answer to my question. It would largely depend on one's view of the subject; and for now, this answer- I am content with.
